Stuart Brown

Retired infantry soldier with twenty-two years of service. Competent, trustworthy and level-headed — comfortable in pressurised environments, with a broad operational background spanning security, the armed forces, aviation firefighting, refrigeration and corporate interiors installation work.

01 / About

About

Twenty-two years in the Irish Defence Forces — infantry soldier, APC crewman, armoury support, transport platoon driver, and bodyguard to a Commanding Officer on overseas mission in Syria. Followed by eight years as an Aviation Firefighter with the Irish Air Corps at Casement Aerodrome.

Since 2025 I've worked as a Maintenance & Installation Technician with Universal Floral and as an Event Security Team Leader for largescale events such as Electric Picnic, Longitude, and FAI Dublin events. PSA-licensed and Garda-vetted for event security work, with current counter-terrorism awareness training and tactical firearms instructor training completed in 2026.

02 / Strengths

How I work

Calm under pressure

Twenty-two years in uniform — including overseas operational deployments — built a habit of staying calm when the situation isn't. Useful on a venue door, a firefighting call, or in leading security response teams for high-profile events

Operational reliability

Whether it's a fire truck inspection, an armoury audit, or a floral install handover, the job is to make sure the thing actually happens — on time, properly documented, no drama.

Multi-disciplinary trades

Security, firefighting, refrigeration, welding, MEWP work, heavy-vehicle driving and floral installation. Diligent, dedicated and trustworthy.

Trusted with people & assets

Bodyguard duties for a Commanding Officer overseas; safe-keeping of weapons and ammunition for a 120-soldier company; PSA-vetted door supervision. Trust is the through-line.
